Common Myths about Change

Create Change! ignite Potential!
        We change changing!

Dispelling the myths about change:

Myth:  We resist change.

In reality - Change is natural. We are changing ALL the time. If we were not changing all the time we/you/none of us would be here right now.  Change is whipping through our lives - instead of fighting its path for us let's learn how to enjoy the new possibilities it gives us!

Myth: Change does not require motion to occur

In reality, change is dynamic.  Our human capabilities require movement to stimulate our thinking properly (using both sides of our brain). Ever notice how creative you feel after a run, or while listening to your favorite energetic music, or feeling especially happy and positive? Change is dynamic -not static - and requires (by its nature) movement to occur.  As quoted by an anonymous jazz musician: "Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom.  If you dont' live it, it won't come out your horn."  Learn to embrace and recognize the natural movements within you, and your relationship to change will quickly and positively grow.

Myth:  Change does not require mental Preparation

In reality - Change requires a mental warmup! We don't really approach an activity without some warmup.  Ever watch a baseball player swing several bats together or a heavier bat to warm up before walking up to the plate? Warming up/kick starting our brain to address change runs the motor much faster and cleaner. The next time you are feeling mentally sluggish, take out your hand held game device and charge your brain with fast action brain games and discover how you feel when you walk up to the batting plate.

Myth:  Change is planned for alone or in secret.

In reality - Change is a collaborative, dynamic meeting of ideas, minds and emotions. In reality two factors exist.  A massive change is happening due to the collaborative technology tools, and we discover innovation and change occurs in a dynamic group process. This means it cannot be so much of a secret.
